If you had to guess:
- What percentage of Android users know about permissions?
- What percentage of Android users look at permissions during installation?
This is a serious, non-rhetorical question. Please leave your guesses as comments.
Update: Interesting! I was curious about whether anyone actually had faith that the permission system works well. (It looks like the answer is no.)

I’d guess that about 5% know about permissions and not more than 2% actually look at them.
Probably 25% know about permissions. Maybe 1-2% actually look at them.
15% know, 2% check.
[copied from G+ for posterity -APF]
60-70% know about permissions (just as they might know that there are things called user agreements or privacy policies). 5% of people make a habit of looking at the permissions on a regular basis, but that close to no one has a firm understanding of what they mean.
50% know about permissions, 5% actually check.
50% know and 10% care
5% know, 5% check.
15% know, 10% check. Call me an optimist!
15% know, 1% check.
10% know, 5% check
My wild guess as new android user with a digital security investgitions background.
50% know.
5% check.
